Are Truvia and Stevia the same?

No. Steviol glycosides (Stevia leaf extract) is a key ingredient in Truvia Sweeteners. Each delicious taste of Truvia Sweetener contains purified extract made from the best-tasting parts of the stevia plant.

Ingredients

Truvia Natural Sweetener in Spoonable jar and sachets form, contains three ingredients: erythritol, stevia leaf extract (steviol glycosides) and natural flavourings.

Stevia leaf extract also known as steviol glycosides comes from the stevia plant. Over 200 times sweeter than sugar, stevia leaf extract is the primary sweetening ingredient in Truvia Natural Sweetener.

Like pepper, salt or any other spice that would be used to heighten the taste of food, natural flavours are used to bring out the best of Truvia Natural Sweetener.

Erythritol is used as an ingredient to provide bulk and the sugar-like crystalline appearance and texture for Truvia Natural Sweetener. Erythritol occurs in a variety of fruits, such as grapes and pears. The erythritol used in Truvia Natural Sweetener is produced through a fermentation process.

Chicory root fibre (inulin) is a fructan extracted from chicory root. Fructans occur in foods such as agave, artichokes, asparagus, chicory, leeks, garlic, onions, and wheat.
